The Clinton Mill, in Clinton NJ, it is a national historic site. Craft Fabricators restored the original process equipment from the quarry portion of the millworks which had sat dormant since the 40’s. Many of the parts were lost or damaged. All that remained was the original rock crusher and the building with the stone sizing tumbler and chutes. We reconditioned the existing equipment and recreated what was lost. The finished product is an interactive display in which a visitor can take gravel and feed it into the inlet chute at the observation deck, watch it pass through the crusher, be carried up the bucket elevator, drop into and run through the sizing tumbler and out the finished product chute. This job was done for Michael Margulese, a NJ architect who is very active in Historic preservation.
